01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the heart of North Richland Hills, Taco Bueno offers a vibrant fast-food experience centered around crave-worthy Mexican cuisine. This restaurant masterfully combines the convenience of quick service with the rich, authentic flavors that make Tex-Mex comfort food so beloved. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual bite or a satisfying meal after a swim, Taco Bueno delivers consistently flavorful options that elevate the fast-food category.

The menu at Taco Bueno is a celebration of variety and taste. For those with a sweet tooth, the Cheesecake Chimis are a standout dessert—warm, golden tortillas filled with creamy cheesecake, offering a perfectly indulgent finish to your meal. On the heartier side, the platters showcase a wonderful balance of textures and flavors: the Chicken Chilada/Taco Platter combines tender chicken chiladas and your choice of crispy or soft chicken tacos, paired with fluffy rice, creamy beans, fresh guacamole, and a refreshing dollop of sour cream. The Beef Taco Platter mimics this quality with two expertly seasoned beef tacos, complemented by the same classic sides.

One of the restaurant’s true gems is the salsa bar, offering a range of complementary flavors at no extra cost. From original salsa to the lively kick of jalapeños and firehouse salsa, each condiment invites you to customize your meal exactly to your preference—whether you want to dial up the heat or savor a milder, zestier bite. With fresh onions, cilantro, and pico de gallo also available, every dish becomes a personalized celebration of Tex-Mex flavors.

But it’s not just about the food; the atmosphere at this Taco Bueno location is both welcoming and efficient. Many customers praise the friendly and hardworking staff, like Chase, who elevate the dining experience with genuine hospitality. Clean restrooms and attentive service contribute to an environment where you feel comfortable and valued despite the busy, fast-food setting. While some patrons note occasional waiting times, the staff’s dedication and warmth more than compensate, making each visit an enjoyable one.

In comparing Taco Bueno to other fast-food Mexican chains, it stands out for its thoughtful flavor profiles and budget-friendly pricing. As one enthusiastic visitor puts it, this spot “is wayyyy better than Taco Bell” for fast, satisfying Mexican fare that doesn’t skimp on quality or taste. Whether you’re craving cheesy chicken, savory beef tacos, or those irresistible sides and salsas, Taco Bueno delivers a genuine and reliable option for quick yet flavorful meals.

For locals and travelers alike, Taco Bueno at 6221 Precinct Line Rd is a must-visit for a fast food fix that feels more authentic and flavorful than most. It’s a place where you can indulge your senses, enjoy friendly service, and savor a taste of Texas-Mexico culture in every bite.

It is a fast food joint, so I will rate it as such. For a fast food joint, honestly, it's wayyyy better than Taco Bell. Good food, great prices. Is it as good as a sit down place? No, no it is not. Is it really good for a fast food place that offers inexpensive foods? Heck yeah. I hate Taco Bell, but I loved their cheesy chicken. And the guacamole and salsa was pretty good too. If you crave "Mexican" style food, but lack budget or time, this would be the place to go.

It was a busy place; in the drive-thru. I went in to order. I tip my hat to the three ladies that were working. They were non-stop. I got my order and was back in the truck in about 12 minutes. Not bad for the line of cars and the three orders inside ahead of me. My first time back in Taco Bueno in quite awhile. Got to work it into my schedule.

First time at this location and was impressed. I was the only person in the dining room on a Wednesday at noon, but the drive-through was busy. Waited a few minutes to have my order taken but was acknowledged as soon as I walked in, and the service was courteous and friendly throughout. The dining area was immaculate and the fresh salsa bar was well-stocked and actually fresh. The food was tasty and hit the spot. They played good music, too! Need more of these in Central Texas please!

Customer service was better than the food. Food was a bit cold and the burrito had to much sauce on it. Tacos where suppose to come with sour cream and I asked for no tomoatos, I got lots of them . Bathroom had poo all over toilet lid and I told the cashier about it and she just looked at me like I was crazy!?! No soap or paper towels, trash can over flowth with trash!! Floor where sticky ewwww!! If I was management here at this location I might want to go in and inspect the store?
